Google IPO

I was under the assumtion that Google's IPO was for the masses or general population. With the price tag of up to $135.00 per share this is not for the general public but for the select group that Google said they did not want to buy during the IPO.

Am I wrong for feeling I have been cheated, I will not pay this price at an IPO we all know it will drop at least by 50% the first 30 days.
